About Integrated Performance Company
Philosophy
High-level performance is rarely limited by effort alone. More often, it reflects how well physical training, recovery, stress regulation, and cognitive demands are aligned over time. Integrated Performance Company is built on the belief that sustainable performance comes from understanding the system as a whole — not optimizing isolated parts. This work prioritizes clarity, regulation, and adaptability so individuals can perform at a high level without compromising long-term health or capacity.
Approach
This coaching approach is systems-based and evidence-informed. Rather than applying rigid frameworks or one-size-fits-all prescriptions, work is individualized and responsive to context. Coaching integrates elements of mental performance, recovery strategy, breath mechanics, training load awareness, and cognitive regulation. The goal is not constant intensity, but consistent alignment — creating conditions that allow performance to emerge reliably under pressure.
Who We Work With
This work is best suited for individuals who value thoughtful, professional guidance and are invested in long-term performance.
Competitive and recreational athletes managing high training demands
College and professional athletes navigating performance pressure
Executives and high-performing professionals balancing stress and physical training
Former athletes returning to structured training
Individuals seeking integration rather than fragmented advice
Why This Works
Performance improves when systems are regulated before they are optimized. By addressing stress load, awareness, recovery behaviors, and cognitive habits alongside physical training, this approach supports adaptability and resilience. Methods are grounded in current research and refined through practical application, with an emphasis on consistency, restraint, and sustainability. The result is performance support that holds up under real-world demands — not just ideal conditions.
What This Is — and What It Is Not
This is coaching, not therapy. Services focus on performance skills, awareness, self-regulation, and behavioral strategies. This work does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. When clinical care is appropriate, referrals to licensed professionals are encouraged and supported. Clear boundaries help ensure the work remains effective, ethical, and aligned with its purpose.
If you’re ready for a more integrated approach to performance, the next step is a consultation.
Founder & Performance Coach
James Lloyd is the founder of Integrated Performance Company and a performance coach with over a decade of experience working at the intersection of physical training, recovery, and human performance.
With a background in athletic training and performance coaching, James has spent years supporting athletes and high performers across training, rehabilitation, and long-term development environments. This experience shaped a core belief: performance cannot be optimized in isolation. Training, recovery, breathing, and mental performance must be aligned to support sustainable, high-level outcomes.
Rather than relying on one-dimensional methods or short-term interventions, James works from an integrated, systems-based approach. Each athlete or professional is viewed as an individual system—physiological, psychological, and environmental factors all considered—allowing programs to adapt as performance demands change.
James’ work is grounded in evidence-based practice and informed by ongoing study in areas including breathwork, recovery strategies, and mental performance. The focus is not on doing more, but on doing what matters—supporting resilience, clarity, and long-term performance without unnecessary burnout or breakdown.
